The Figma MCP server pulls structured data out of Figma files: pages, frames, components, styles, and (with the right setup) generated code snippets.
The point is design-to-code: paste a Figma URL into chat and ask the assistant to scaffold a React component matching the frame. It pulls the layout, type styles, and color tokens, and emits code that actually compiles against your design system.
Auth uses a Figma personal access token. Read-only, by design.
